This post is all about these three incredible books you must read in 2022 that will sting your soul and make you examine your attitude about your personal finance. These books make you think about the benefits of having a financial margin, how lack of money can influence your decisions, the type of attitude you take when you manage your money poorly, how a zero balance can affect your credit score, and more!

It seems like I have been on this financial binge for years because I have so many books on financial management. When I made up my mind to really discipline myself and become debt-free, these three books convicted me by helping me to think about the future, the status of my credit rating, and to look at my life more holistically.

Personal Finance Books

This post is about getting your personal finances in order by reading three mind-blowing books that will guide you on how to take control of your personal finances, so you will have time to do some things you want to and not things that lack of money tell what you can do!

Here are several reasons I enjoyed these books, and hopefully you will also.

THE ABC’s TO BE FINANCIALLY FREE

  • Easy to read:  it is a 44-page book that is truly short, consists of four brief chapters, and full of insight on money management that can be read within an hour or less. It is filled with encouraging biblical quotes and financial nuggets that provide great insight into your personal finance.
  •  Inspirational biblical quotes:  This book is targeted toward Christians because it is supported by scriptures. I believe, it is for anyone who is dealing with personal financial challenges. Even if you are not dealing with any financial challenges, it is a great read to help you maintain your finance. Our spiritual life impacts our finance, which the author so eloquently explained. When you have a financial margin, according to the author, you might consider:

      • Quitting that job, you have been frustrated with for years
      • Begin a nonprofit ministry
      • Start that new business you have been dreaming of

  •  Convicts your spirit:  I purchased this book years ago and have not read it in years. Since I decided to make a commitment to become debt-free, I read it again and it truly convicted my spirit. It reveals our poor management of money and our attitude toward it, especially among Christians. For example, we spend above our income. We consume every dollar we get and never save for hard times. We say, “God will supply all of my needs.”  And God will but it does not exempt you from savings or managing your money well.

A to Z CREDIT

  • Short and brief:  it briefly summarizes from A to Z, all the elements you need to take into consideration to achieve an exceptional credit score. Although it does not go deep down into the weeds, it provides some wonderful nuggets on how to improve your credit score. After reading this book, I applied some of the advice; I increased my score by 65 points.
  •  Excellent credit score guide:  If you need to understand how to increase your credit score, this is the book for YOU! The author shares many pointers and tips on how to increase your score, as well as how to build and establish credit.
  •  Mindset:  You must have the right mindset, be disciplined, and be focused. You cannot continue to apply unhealthy habits and inconsistency and expect positive results!

GET GOOD WITH MONEY

  • Step by step process:  If you are a person who needs details and a process on how to manage your personal finances, this is the book for you. The author provides a ten-step outline to help you chart a path to financial freedom, security, and peace of mind. The author also shares personal examples she learned on her financial journey to success.
  •  Smorgasbord:  If you feel that you do not need a process, you can select what is applicable to your situation. At the same time, you can choose to execute the step-by-step process, the full meal or al le carte. I call it a smorgasbord; you can pick and choose. In each of the chapters, the author takes a deep dive. For me, I really like Chapter Five, because the author identifies the five components that determine your creditworthiness in detail and the key components that make up your credit score.
